The honest truth about this
Staying here was pure bliss! Our cottage was a private oasis with stunning views and fresh bread delivered every morning. The wine tasting experience was fascinating and scrumptious.
Although we loved the tranquility, the location was a bit remote. navigating the steep roads could be a challenge for some.

Breathtaking scenery surrounded by the tranquility of nature.
Our stay was quite disappointing due to the location being far from major attractions. The steep and winding road made exploring the Douro Valley a challenge, and we weren't prepared for that. Additionally, the influx of RVs right at the entrance derailed the idyllic getaway we had envisioned, which forced us to cancel our dinner reservation and boat outing.

Loved our stay at Quinta Do Monte Travesso! The one-bedroom house offered breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards, making mornings truly special. Fresh bread delivered each day and a fridge stocked with breakfast goodies added such a nice touch. We enjoyed the quiet outdoor space with a private pool, perfect for lounging after exploring. The bed was super comfy, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. We did have a couple of small hiccups. the sofa in the living area was quite uncomfortable for lounging, and the kitchen felt a bit under-equipped for cooking. Still, those were minor compared to the overall charm of the place. It’s worth noting that the drive up was steep and winding, making excursions a bit challenging, especially since the property was quite remote. Still, the peaceful retreat was exactly what we needed.

The sofa in our one-bedroom house was quite uncomfortable for lounging, which detracted from the overall coziness we hoped for during our downtime.

private pool, stunning views, well-stocked fridge
The driving route is frustratingly steep and winding!!! It really dampened our plans to explore the surrounding Douro Valley. Also, don't expect a picturesque entrance, as the RVs parked near the entry are quite an eyesore!!!

Stunning Views with a Few Minor Hiccups
We enjoyed three peaceful nights in a cozy one-bedroom house. The fresh bakery deliveries were a lovely touch! Just a tip, pack your cooking essentials, as the kitchen could use a few more tools. Overall, a perfect escape amidst the beautiful vineyards。
